"A big thank you to A&E"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Newport)

(as a relative),

On Saturday my granddaughters 6th birthday she slipped and banged her head on the corner of the door frame, nasty cut and blood everywhere.

I took her to A&E and I can only praise the staff there. She was seen almost immediately, checked over and had her cut glued. They even gave her a teddy for her birthday :).

We were in and out in under 30 mins. A big thank you to all at A&E.

Thank you for taking the time to post such positive feedback, which has been shared with the A&E team.

I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience at such a worrying time, and that your granddaughter was treated promptly.

I do hope that her visit to A&E did not spoil her birthday too much.

She is on the mend now, she had her birthday lunch later that day and is looking forward to next weekend when she is having her proper party with her friends.
