I think some Doctors surgeries are disregarding advice from the National Prescribing Centre by applying a universal 28-day limit on prescriptions. That means we are paying over and over again for the same amount of drug! Despite guidance that “where patients have stable long-term conditions, and can manage their stocks of medicines effectively, prescriptions for longer periods may be more suitable and more convenient for patients” including where relevant, cost in prescription charges.
Why do we not try to get our Doctors to do something about this?
"The big prescription rip off!!!"
