"Badley treated"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I spent 3 weeks at col hos where i was treated awful i was transferred to clacton with the most awful bed sores down below due to neglect wich took about 5 weeks to improve but not fully recover the level of hygene was disgusting as was the way i was treated no feelings and no respect, the only kind nurses where the ones called the poppy organisation. thank goodness for them as they did try to make me comfortable they got cream for me but the sores were so bad that not much had any result but at least they tried and were kind to me, i hope i never have to be admitted to this hospital again its the worse hos[ital that ive ever stayed in. the poppy nurses were at clacton rehab i was in kate grant ward.

I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if I could ask the matron to contact you. Could you email me, using the reference “General Surgery at 31/01/2015 14:10:18”, please? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust
