Pointless service, attended today with my mum who had an accident at work. We had been to an optician who told my mum her eye was inflamed and she needed to attend this walk in service - when we arrived we were told to stand outside a door and someone would speak to us. A lady came out no idea who she was as she didn't say if she was a nurse/triage or anything, she asked what the problem was so my mum explained what had happened, her response was we are pretty busy but as you are an a&e case we should see you, but she would have to speak to a dr. When she returned she handed us a leaflet and told us they were shutting in 3hrs and we would need to go to Moorfields. All this took place in a corridor, no one even looked at my mums eye to see whever a trip to Moorfields was even necessary. When I questioned this I was told well if there is something wrong with my mums eye they don't have the equipment to deal with it so they would send us to Moorfileds anyway. So I re-iterate pointless service
