"Parking"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I have visited Stepping Hill as an out patient many times, and the service and care has generally been fine. However, the parking is a nightmare. Even if you are lucky to find a spot to park, you must pay on arrival for the hours you expect to stay. This is guess work, so you either risk heavy fine for over staying, or over pay as your treatment was quicker than expected. I have also had treatment at Wythenshawe, who seem to have a better system for parking. Firstly I have always managed to find a place to park without driving round and round. Secondly you pay on leaving for the period of time used. This certainly takes the worry have you overstayed the time paid for, leaving you to concentrate on the treatment you are receiving. I try to use buses, but this is not always possible.

Thank you for your feedback. We are aware that parking is a challenge and are looking at ways to improve. We advise our patients and visitors to use public transport or arrive here in good time. I will pass your suggestion to the relevant manager for his consideration. Kieren Done Complaints and Customer Service Team Manager
