"Patient Activity Day at Highbury Hospital"

About: Highbury Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

"It's the people really. You don't get to meet people like that everyday. It helps you hear it from the horses mouth so you're not judging the person. The aim is to overcome the goals of superstition and the barriers. "

"At the next event I'd have more examples of the same thing. It was a little bit sparse. One organistaion was there and I know of them. If you could see them on the shop floor you'd see how everything was connected. As well as helping people they need to be seen as providing a service. "

Thank you very much for your feedback on the day last week. It was the first of its kind and is aimed not to be too big. The Patient Activity event is monthly and on the 18th February we will have Dementia Friends, Foothold family support, Pharmacy, New Leaf, Notts police, Framework Workshop, and two therapies on offer. If you would like to suggest any activity or organisation to ask to come we would be happy to contact them.

Please contact me on 0115 8542262 if you would like to have a chat about this,

Suzanne Foulk, Live! Project Lead and Highbury Site Co-ordinator
