"It's good to get my life back"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a half knee replacement in January 2014. Following several year of much pain, the operation went well. Recovery good. However, I experienced some stomach problems afterwards, but these soon got better. The recovery was rapid during the first 3 weeks, but slowed thereafter. Now 1 year after the replacement, I am glad that operation took place and I would gauge my recovery now at 90%.

It is good to get my life back. I now need my other knee replacing, and hope that the operation goes equally as well. Thank you

Dear Stu Tish thank you for feeding back to let us know how you are after your operation. I am glad that you have made such a good recovery. These things do take time but it sounds like you have indeed got your life back. I will ensure that the team are aware and pass on your comments

Best wishes for a continued recovery

Linda
