"Excellent care from Maxillo-Facial Team."

I have been attending the Maxillo-Facial Outpatients for the past two and a half years for monitoring of a chronic oral condition. I have always been treated with courtesy and kindness by all of the Team. Most recently I had a worrying time following an oral biopsy which appeared to indicate some potentially serious problem. However,one of the Team quickly organised blood tests and ensured that the results were back within the week. Although it was a very long week for me,I was relieved to be given the all-clear by another member of the Team who saw my distress and was very understanding and explained everything to me. I cannot single out one person because from the Consultants through to the Registrars,the Nurses and the lovely lady on the Reception in the Clinic everyone works together and offers such professional and compassionate care to the patients and their ( quite often worried) families. At a time when the NHS is under such pressure and sometimes facing much criticism I just wanted to pass on my thanks and gratitude for the care I have received.
