"Total hysterectemy the day i wish i died"

About: Leicester General Hospital

On Saturday 16th Jan I was admitted to ward 11 where a discussion I had I was told to expect minor discomfort and a small bikini line wound which would be glued. I awoke in recovery to the most horrific pain I have endured in my life the pipe down my throat was choking me so I pulled it out for myself I was screaming help me please someone help me eventually someone came and I received morphine to what I was told was the maximum I could have it did not touch the pain and I genuinely thought I was going to die. After 4 hours in recovery I was taken to ward 31 where I was drifting in and out of consciousness and put on a drip of morphine which I had to press a button for not sure why I was given this as how can I manage my own pain when I am unconscious? Every time I woke my daughter gave me ice cubes I was shocked to be nil by mouth why did no one tell me this? At some point in the next 24 hours I kept crying please someone help me I need pain relief help please I buzzed for approximately 10 hours not one nurse came to my aid.On Tuesday I complained about no pain relief and it was blamed on me as I had not been using my morphine drip while I was asleep unconscious. During my waking hours of Tuesday I could not get out of bed due to unbearable pain the staff helped me with this by not bringing me any breakfast in bed. My daughter and sister both complained to a nurse who said she could do nothing as it all happened when she was not there and promptly removed my morphine drip . My daughter bought me some food but I could not eat as I was still in unimaginable pain which I told every single nurse who came to my bedside they responded by sending my boyfriend off the bay as I had 3 visitors not 2 so I felt like I was being humiliated for speaking out All day long I was hounded into having a shower as it would make me feel better, "a shower for pain relief I asked ? " I decided against this as the poor lady in the bed next to me was left on her own in the shower where she fell and sustained a back and head injury. During all this time various family and friends of mine were ringing the ward to be told " she had a comfortable night and slept well" yet the truth is I was awake in my bed texting them telling what horrific pain I was still enduring I kept these texts to show proof as I have made an official complaint. Then I was told the pain you are experiencing is due to wind by this point I was taking paracetomol from home I had a pounding headache that I do not think was caused by wind and they gave me peppermint tea. I had such an adverse reaction I was helped toilet by a nurse who promptly left me alone I was so sick the pain was so bad I prayed I would die the sick went absolutely everywhere and was still under the bin and on the walls when I went to use the toilet on Wednesday . lastly I am home and on 2000mg antibiotics for infection the nurse said it is normal for a wound to be hot and red. I am slowly recovering at home thanks to my amazing GP.
