"Awful!!"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

My aunty had been in here since last Tuesday. 2nd time she'd been in there 1st time a few months ago, I had to ask for her bandage to be changed as it had been on there 3 days and was dirty smelt and not heeling. I asked the nurse how she would feel about if her mum was treated like that "she said she'd prefer not to say" She remained in hospital ward 18 until she died yesterday. I am shocked with how your nurses treat someone who is literally on her death bed. No compassion everyone there was complacent with there job and no one seemed to care about there patients well being. I then walked into the ward yesterday opened the Curtian of my aunties cubical to find her laying there dead,, I nurse rushed over and her first words to be were "who are you to her" No one stopped me walking through despite having to press a buzzer to get in. Please explain to me how this is ecceptable in your hospital

Thank you for your feedback on your aunt's stay on Ward 18. I am sorry to hear of your loss; please accept my sincere condolences. I am also sorry that it has taken me so long to respond to you - we are experiencing difficulties with the NHS Choices website. It would be helpful if you could share the details of your experience with the Patient Advice and Liaison Team so that we can investigate what has happened. Please contact them on 01753 633365 or email them at pals@hwph-tr.nhs.uk Kind Regards Claire Marshall Associate Director of Patient Experience and Public Involvement
