"The Unit with a big Heart"

I was recently a guest of the Cardiology Unit at Bedford Hospital having suffered a heart attack at the age of 50. I was referred from MK hospital for an angiogram and subsequently underwent 3 stent angioplasty. Given that I had experienced a life threatening event and the procedure comes with its own risks, the entire team were quick to inform and reassure. I cannot praise the work of the consultant highly enough; he kept me informed throughout the entire procedure and it was virtually pain-free! I work for a pharmaceutical company within hospital and interact with doctors and nurses of all grades. This is quite simply the most professional,compassionate and efficient clinical team I have had the pleasure to encounter in 20 years. Thank you for giving me back my life. I will be indebted to you all for the rest of it.
