Firstly, I would like to apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Since the end of December, the hospital has been seeing an extremely high volume of emergency patients who have needed inpatient care – this has continued through January. Therefore, it has been essential to put measures in place to allow the hospital to provide safe quality care to patients, and to give priority to the most urgent cases. We anticipate that emergency demand will reduce over the coming weeks and we will be commencing elective planned surgery shortly. Samantha Goldberg Associate Director of Operations - Surgery
