About: King's Mill Hospital

From the moment I entered A and E I was impressed with the level of service. The reception staff were attentive. I was seen by a nurse within 10 minutes and a doctor within half and hour. The surgeons that I was required to see arrived as soon as they could. They were careful to make sure that I maintained my dignity throughout an intimate examination and kept me informed about what needed to be done. The nurses and care staff on Ward 14 were excellent, once again keeping me informed about everything that was going to happen. The Anaesthetist was great in explaining the procedure which was good for me because I have never undergone GA. I,m sure the surgeon was good but I never saw him for obvious reasons. The porters and care staff were all caring and everyone was incredibly cheerful throughout my stay. I know the NHS gets a pasting all the time so I thought it only right to redress the balance. Thank you for the standard of care given to me.
