"Birthing Centre Review"

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at the birthing centre at Queen Charlottes. The midwives there were very helpful and knowledgable and really made us feel welcome and comfortable for the birth of our son. I forgot to call when we were on our way but this didn't cause a problem and the midwives on duty adapted and set about preparing the birthing room. We had great support throughout the birth with midwives on hand when they needed to be but still allowing us our privacy at other times. Post birth we were able to stay in a very comfortable room over night and the support from the midwives was superb. They helped with initial breast feeding techniques and even gave us some time to sleep for a couple of hours when our son decided to stay awake all night! I can whole heartedly recommend the birthing centre and the midwives working there.
