About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

I was admitted to Leyland ward for acdf surgery 19/12/14. I would like to thank the anaesthetist, the recovery nurse and my surgeon for the time they took to talk to me before surgery (both on the ward and in theatre). Their patience, kindness and understanding were first class.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your experience. The importance of ensuring that our communication is effective cannot be underestimated and we have done a significant amount of work over the past 12 months to ensure that our staff do always try to communicate fully and effectively with patients and their families. Therefore it's extremely pleasing to hear that the level of communication you received was of the standard we would hope to achieve for all our patients.
