"Filthy"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Had to visit the A&E yesterday with my mum. The treatment she recieved was great & the staff were great. Such a shame the A&E department was so filthy. The cubicle we were sat in was so dirty I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months & the whole department really does need a deep clean. The chairs in the waiting area had a strong smell of urine so bad we had to move seats. I know there are cutbacks within the NHS but this was just something else. I think this needs to be dealt with asap. The surgical ward looked quite clean & I did see staff deep cleaning that area. Felt very anxious about my mum being here because it was so dirty incase she picked up a bug. The toilets are disgusting also I was scared to use them ?? such a shame because I can see how busy the staff are trying so hard to care for the patients. We were seen by a lovely, kind staff nurse & my mum said the care she recieved in the surgical unit last night was fantastic.
