About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

I can not recommend the staff & service too highly. Their attitude of care and compassion to all the patients is amazing. Especially the day & night staff of Locke ward. Their efforts deserve a higher monetary reward. But all the departments did more than their duty. The food was good & wholesome. There are only 2 problems. Parking. There seems to be a problem with the discharge process, which needs to be investigated that can delay dispatch of patients by 3-4 hours or even overnight. Fortunately the lovely ladies in dispatch kept us feed and watered.

Dear Hans May, Your comments are well made and it is fantastic to read that you had good experiences during the night as well as they day, a time many patients, families and carers worry about. The parking challenge at the Trust is well known and we are aware that we will need to invest in increased capacity for patients and their families and carers to park when we are able to do so. With regard to the discharge process, we are working actively with our clinicians and technicians who enable this process to try and move things forward, so thank you for raising those issues.
