"observations and assessment ward"

About: Tameside General Hospital

My 16 month old daughter was admitted with a non blanching rash to her legs. We were referred by our GP and seen immediately. I was more than impressed with the level.of care and professional service offered. Thank you to all the staff who took care of us. My daughter was treated quickly and is now on the road to recovery. She finished her care at home with the district nurses. They ruled out meningitis quite quickly but treated her for this until they could be sure. I wanted to say a special thank you to one of the nursing assistants on the ward when we moved from obs and assess. I wish I knew her name! She gave us a group hug and it was literally one of the nicest things anyone has ever done. I felt guilty because my tears left make up all over her uniform.

Many thanks for your feedback about the children’s Observation and assessment ward at Tameside Hospital. The whole team here work hard to make sure that the care given and the environment that children are cared for in is of an exceptional standard.

I shall ensure that the staff get to see your lovely comments and we all hope that your daughter is recovering well.
