I was unlucky enough to be admitted to Accident and Emergency recently. From the Ambulance Staff to hospital, I could not have asked for more. Once I reached the Royal United Hospital, I was dealt with immediately by very competent, friendly and knowledgable staff. I was kept in over night and was in a position to see the whole of the emergency department and was very impressed with the kindness shown to all patients by all staff. They were extremely busy all night and never faltered in their attendance to each patient and their attitude never changed. I cannot sing their praises highly enough. Later the next day I was moved to medical assessment ward and the kindness and attention did not change. I have heard on the news lately that the RUH have fallen behind in the government deadlines, but with the way they work, unless the government want to put their hands in their pockets to provide more money for staffing, I do not believe they could do any more than they are doing. One very, very satisfied short term patient
