Total lack of communication from this consultant is an ongoing issue. Delegation of duties to junior registrars seems to be common practice, however, they appear to either have the incorrect information or are not trained enough to answer questions. The child is due to go into surgery on Monday with 2 further days of treatment thereafter. Mother has questions regarding this and has been trying for over a week to get the doctor to return calls without success. Please do not send me your standard stock reply to contact PALS, we have done this already.
