"Dangerous antenatal care - avoid!"

About: East Surrey Hospital

Having received poor antenatal care here in previous years by a particular consultant I was displeased to be under them again however felt things may be different. Consultant repeatedly dismissed my concerns, ignored relevant medical history and consistently changed "goalposts" of when I would receive appropriate care. I had to spend weeks trying to convince other consultants to review my case and thankfully one did and I was given the correct care - however it was too late - Instead the catalogue of errors led to my sons premature delivery and a 2 week NICU stay as well as potential problems in the future. Currently trying to seek mental health support to rectify the damage done to myself and family before deciding which course of action to take against the hospital.
