"The Royal Bolton Hospital - Issue on ward A1"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

(as the patient),

Most things were good about my treatment on CA for diabetes and everything was to a good standard. The food and drink could have been better, it was very rushed and uncomfortable.

The only issue I had was my experience on A1 ward! The one you are ready to go home. Some of the evening staff seemed too busy to give you attention/ information and agency staff seemed confused/ unapproachable.

Also I was promised information that never arrived and was very glad to leave this some-what Victorian ward.

I would like to thank Dr RA Hunt and Dr AM Illiff surgery, especially Dr Hunt who was very warm and caring.

Many thanks for the comments of your experience of your stay, particularly thoset of the issues that arose on A1, which we think was our ward A4. We have raised the issues with the matron in charge of the ward and she will ensure that all our staff are informed to ensure patients are given adequate information. We have also forwarded the issues you have raised regarding agency staff to our bank nurse office.
