About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I was referred to the hospital through my GP and on 8th October 2014 I had 3 lumps removed from my cervix to be sent away to be tested, 4 weeks later (5th November 2014)I telephoned the consultants secretary, who informed me my results were in my file but could not be given over the phone but would be sent to me shortly, after weekly telephone calls & a formal complaint sent in November to the complaint office based in Leicester Glenfield Hospital & still no reply received todate (20.1.15) I have finally received a letter stating my result are Normal from my procedure taken place on 10th October. My appointment was on 8th October at 9.15. Are these my results are someone elses. Another complaint is being sent & I would like action to be taken

Dear reviewer, Thanks for taking the time to post your comment. We are really sorry to hear about your experience of the Gynaecology department at the Royal. It is not acceptable that you had to wait so long for your results and that you have received results with the wrong date on. To enable us to investigate your case and find out why you haven’t received a response to your formal complaint, please email your details (name, address, date of birth and hospital number) to Debra.Keeber@uhl-tr.nhs.uk who will be able to help you. Kind regards, Communications team Leicester’s Hospitals
