Was referred by my GP to the above service in 2013 in order to investigate the reason for the constant pain in my left knee. During the seven week wait for the appointment I also developed a problem with my right foot.
The person I saw, after examining me, said that he could find nothing wrong with either my knee or my foot and said that he was only there to refer people for knee replacements. He didn't even bother to submit a report to my GP.
As both of these conditions worsened, I had to return to my GP who had to contact the Muscoloskeletal Service for their findings. I was then sent for knee classes, hydrotherapy, etc, without improvement and when I finally had an X-ray and saw an Orthorpaedic Knee Surgeon I was told that I had to have a knee replacement.
Regarding my foot, as I was unable to walk, had to see a private Podiatrist who immediately diagnosed Plantar Fascitis.
