"My care was second to none"

In 2004 I was constantly going to the toilet, especially at nights. After consultation with my own doctor as well as a “rear examination”, he sent me to Mr Paul at St. James who is the specialist in prostate problems. After tests and observations he operated on me and after three days in hospital, I was out to carry on my usual life. I still have blood checks now every three months and he seems to be satisfied up to now with the blood test. SO it’s in Gods hands It was just after tea one Saturday about five weeks ago. My carer had left and when I was taking my cup of tea into the kitchen I spilled some of it. After I had mopped it up I fell, cutting my leg and head. I pressed my careline and soon after my niece arrived. I was panicking because I was on the floor and couldn’t breathe properly. My niece went for a neighbour and together they helped me to a sitting position. My niece then called NHS Direct who eventually sent an ambulance. My care at the hospital was second to none. I even thought there may have been some preferential treatment due to my age (I am 95 and quite frail). I was listened to and treated with respect and was sent home with information for the district nurses. Again the treatment I had from the district nurse was excellent. The only grouse I have id the number of questions that were asked first by the NHS operator, repeated by the nurse I was put in contact with and again repeated by the ambulance service. I was frightened and in shock and the questions which were answered by my niece seemed to go on forever. Is there no way of sending a quick e-mail to other services to save on the repetition?
