My sister been there for 5 weeks just having IV antibiotics she could have had at local hospital Supposed to be having pacemaker removed still not had it done Has now got a bug from hospital Communication is horrendous No one talks to her and includes my sister in her care She's not told anything unless she asks and then they don't know This bug she's picked up is now with her for life The leaflet she was given stated hand washing with soap and water not gel to be used There was no soap in the room I asked 3 times for some then a nurse told me to use the gel as it's the gel that kills the bugs! Infection control Sister told us a few days later just to make sure we wash our hands with soap and water!Visiting hours are ancient We arrive at 1.30 as we come on the train but can't go in until 2pm and have to leave at 3 pm to get train before rush hour. Wouldn't want to go in this hospital There are a couple of good nurses the rest are rubbish One left an IV machine bleeping away throughout the whole of visiting as she couldn't get it to stop Another good nurse did it in a couple of seconds The doctors never go into her room to speak to her despite the fact they are on the ward every day They discuss her outside the door but don't speak to her !
"Awful place"
