"Treatment at E & A Over the so called Christmas..."

About: Royal United Hospital

I had the misfortune to need help at 10.30 pm on Boxing day with a severe chest infection and difficulty breathing and was attended by a Paramedic then transported by ambulance to the A & E department of the RUH in Bath. Despite what the media would have you believe I did not experience the out of control chaos portrayed. I was received at A & E and swiftly found myself under the expert supervision of the high care section. I do accept however that on occasions things go horribly wrong and these cases get well reported but I can only speak from my own experience which was absolutely superb - Well done A & E Staff and many thanks. Jim Speed

Dear Mr Speed, we thank you for your comments about the care you received at the RUH and will certainly forward these on to the staff in Emergency Department who, we are sure, will be very grateful for your kind words.
