My husband was admitted last Monday 12.01.15 at approximately 11am with acute arrythmia. He was drifting in and out of consciousness and was instantly connected to a resuscitation machine. He was constantly monitored from then on until an ambulance transferred him to the coronary care unit at North Staffs hospital, where he was fitted with a pacemaker. He was then returned to Leighton and finally came home at 10am the following day. We have nothing but praise for the excellent treatment he received and the Doctors and Nurses were so kind and helpful in what was a somewhat traumatising episode. I must also say that the rapid response and paramedic teams that initially attended him at home arrived so promptly that I did not have time to go into panic mode. We are both so grateful for all the care, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
