"Admissions Unit B3 Is A Disgrace"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

The experience I had in this unit was appalling, some of the staff were great but some were rude and ignorant . The care was appalling and the ward was about as clean as a pig sty. The toilets were foul there was blood on the floor next to my bed and excrement on a curtain around it. I will be taking this further so I hope someone actually read these reviews. Shameful utterly shameful..!!!!!!

Dear Johnny.

Thank you for getting in touch and for raising your concerns. Please accept our apologies for the unacceptable cleanliness standards and inappropriate behaviour demonstrated by some of my colleagues. This is certainly is not the sort of experience we would wish any of our patients to have. We have recently raised some concerns about cleaning on the ward, as there is room for improvement. Action is being taken.

I would like to investigate further your comments about poor behaviour so that we can speak to the staff concerned. If you are able to provide some more information about your stay we can do so, to improve the experience of future patients and to ensure this feedback reaches the right colleagues and appropriate action taken. You can contact me directly on 0115 9249924 ext. 62132 or email paul.webb@nuh.nhs.uk.
