"Excellent specialist treatment and lovely care"

I went into the gynae ward from A&E having experienced severe pains. As soon as I arrived, I was very well looked after the wonderful staff who worked so well together. It is a busy ward so cannot be easy working there but the whole team worked cohesively together to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Having had scans and blood tests I then saw the Consultant, who is wonderful and very kind. She explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions, she even managed do my procedure as a laparoscopy rather than a laparotomy, which is very rare. It means I can get back to full health much quicker so I'm very impressed. The department has some of the top consultants in the country and people on my ward had come from all over the UK for their expertise. I felt very fortunate that this is my local hospital. All in all gynae was extremely well run and I am grateful for all the care and support I received during my six night stay.
