"Antenatal care is just so bad..."

About: Croydon University Hospital

I was around 9 weeks pregnant when i went to my gp, she referred me to university hospital and said they will call or write to me.weeks passed but they never did(i had previously 2 miscarriages and they never did scan to see if everything was out or ok and i had ectopic pregnancy while overseas ,luckily there they did ultrasound and saw straight away i had large cyst stuck on my fallopian tubes, so they did laparascopy )i got very anxious and called hospital, only to find out they had booked me appointments but havent let me know.so i had my FIRST booking appointment at around 15 weeks.first scan 16 weeks.(u can only imagine how nervous long wait it was to get my first scan with my previous troubles). when i asked about my notes after scan then midwife said whats the worry u are only 16 weeks u will get them, she said i will see consultant straight away that i should just sit and wait that it will take over an hour before i get my notes(at my booking scan she had told Me i can just pick them up after my scan)but then she started calling to the labs to get my results etc.once i was waiting the consultant in the room the midwife came to me and said the reason she held to my notes was because she wanted me to see consultant( which was a lie because actually she had forgotten about my notes and started quickly calling to the labs.)she also left a voicemail to community midwife and they were meant to contact me and they never did.so later on now i got a letter giving me appointment and i cant go so i called them to change it, only to be told thousand times i should call community midwife not them( i kept saying i havent got a midwife and letter came from ur clinic, then she could not find me after i spelt my name 3 times, she got frustrated like some crazy woman is calling)so finally she found me and said i cant change the appointment because the specialist midwife is working only mondays.i explained my reasons why i cant make it and she asked me: what to u want me to do?i said i dont know if there is anyone else who can see me some other day, she suggested i call community midwife(who should have contacted me ages ago anyway).but i said i quess they have booked me specialist midwife for a reason and now u try to send me to community miwdife does not make sense to me.i said she can just cancel that appointment as i dont have time for this and i am upset that they have declared me as high risk and i have to chase up all the time to get some attention and care.she ended up shouting that how come i havent got time for this and we all have commitments and we all work and its my business to come to the appointments(that they make in their own accord and i really cant make it).so i am nearly 20 weeks now and still havent got a midwife .just wondering will they have enough midwifes when i am ready to give birth.so i have booked appointment with the gp to be reffered to st helier as i had my daughter there and never had any issues with them.
