"Excellent care received from Crawley Urgent Treatment Centre"

About: Crawley Hospital / Urgent treatment centre

(as a parent/guardian),

My grown up son is an electrician and he accidentally cut his thumb badly with a Stanley knife.

I took him to Crawley expecting a tedious long wait, but could not be more delighted with the service we received. The receptionist was very pleasant and we sat and waited. There were a few people waiting.

Nurse Clare Poustie invited Mark to the treatment room and cleaned and applied sutures to the wound. She was professional and very nice and reassuring. She gave sound advice as to how to care for the wound and what to expect. We were in and out within half an hour.

I was especially impressed as I too work for the same Trust and it's very different to be on the receiving end of care.

Dear midwife

This is great confirmation of the excellent care we deliver at our urgent treatment centre. Thank you for sharing this with us, we’ll share it in turn with the team. And we hope your son is recovering well.
