I have just had my dermatology appointment for next Tuesday cancelled, this was arranged at the beginning of November last year. The lady I spoke to couldn't give me any indication of when I would get another appointment. I have had a skin condition for over 6 months and it is getting worse and worse: it now keeps me awake all night and I am unable to wear anything on my feet. What is the point in giving people appointments? I have appointments for various clinics cancelled constantly. In late October I had cataract surgery planned for 4th November at Preston cancelled and still have no date for that. I don't expect miracles but what I do expect is that when you make an appointment nearly 3 month's hence it shouldn't be cancelled because "there is no one to take the clinic" which is what I am told each time an appointment is cancelled. I have now had enough and I am making a formal complaint. I was loathe to go down this route but enough is enough.
