About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Had a naso-ethmoidal fracture requiring surgery. From the second I arrived at ward B20 the way I was treated was faultless. From consultation with the surgeon and anethetist upon arrival who made me feel extremely relaxed about the upcoming operation to the nurses who introduced me to the ward and prepared me to go for surgery. After I came round I was looked after brilliantly and cannot thank the ward staff enough for the way I was cared for. I felt as though I was in a fancy hotel rather than a hospital, nothing was too much trouble and they were always happy and smiling. You are all a credit to the NHS.

Dear Anonymous Many thanks for your feedback on your experience of our B20 ward at Royal Blackburn Hospital, and thank-you for taking the time to do so. I will make sure your appreciation and lovely words about your care and our staff are passed onto the teams concerned; who will be very pleased to hear that your recent experience with us was really positive as we always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care. If you would like to talk through your visit to us with one of our Patient Experience team so we can understand the bits of your experience that made this such a good visit for you we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and services. You can either contact me (Wendy Stobbs) on 01254 734471/ 01254 733704 or email me on wendy.stobbs@elht.nhs.uk. Or if you would like to share your experience in confidence with an independent organisation please contact Healthwatch BwD on 01254 504985 or info@healthwatchblackburnwithdarwen.co.uk Many thanks again for commenting and best wishes for your recovery Wendy Stobbs, Senior Patient Experience Facilitator
