"Disappointed"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

My daughter attended A & E last night 11.01.15 she thinks she has miscarried her baby she is currently 11/12 weeks pregnant, her first time. She was referred to the GP service and the staff there were lovely and reassured her that they doubt she has lost the baby despite that she has lost blood but they referred her to ward 12. They examined her but could not confirm either way and told her to wait for her next scan which is over a week away. This is an awful way to treat someone. My daughter and her partner are so excited to be having a baby to now have to wait and see if she is still pregnant. How can she carry on with work etc not knowing what to say to people. Surely there is a better way. Very disappointed.

I can understand that this was a scary situation in difficult circumstances. If you have any questions or queries about the treatment I would advise you to contact the PALS department on 01274 364021 at Bradford Royal Infirmary or 01274 365853 at St. Luke’s Hospital. They will be able to provide support you and your daughter. The text phone number for deaf people is 01274 382580 at Bradford Royal Infirmary. You can also email pals@bthft.nhs.uk. Thank you.
