"My mother was sent home with no medication"

About: Sandwell General Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a relative),

My mother was sent home with no medication. I did not have a problem with this at the time has she had been given treatment in AEU that morning.

It started get me a little annoyed the next day when I had been phoning for over 24 hours to collect them. With each time they were not ready and could not tell me when they would be. This means that my mother has had no medication now for well over 24 hours for her infection to her lungs.

When you phone they make you feel like you are in the wrong for phoning with there tone of voice. They could have given me a paper scrip and I could have fetched it my self at least my mother would be getting the treatment she deserves and starting to get better.

They did not even give her any notes to come out with. It is now 25 hours and she still has no notes or medication and I find it completely out of order. If she turns bad and ends back up in hospital because of this I will be very upset about this.
