"Terrible Organisation on the part of whoever is..."

About: St Lukes Hospital (Bradford)

The nurses and Interns do a brilliant job but are totally let down by what I hope was badly planned booking of appointments, and the lack of enough staff to cover the appointments made. I had an appointment on December 31 and I had spent a day traveling from Aberdeenshire to get to the said appointment when I arrived I was kept waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes past my appointment so I was totally unimpressed and was quite short with nurses and the poor intern struggling to do his job. I feel that the doctor should have made sure that his clinic went smoothly I know that would require his presence but just because it was New Years Eve is no excuse, we had to be there he should make certain that things he is responsible for work properly. Very badly Organised at best at worst a total lack of interest on th doctor's part, but in either case very wrong.

Thank you for leaving your comment on the NHS Choices website. It is very disappointing to hear that you had a bad experience, this is not the standard of care and service we expect to provide. Should you wish we have a Patient Advice and Liaison Service who will be happy to help you to find out more about why this has happened. They can be contacted on 01274 364021 at Bradford Royal Infirmary or 01274 365853 at St. Luke’s Hospital. The text phone number for deaf people is 01274 382580 at Bradford Royal Infirmary. You can also email pals@bthft.nhs.uk. Thank you.
