"Brilliant service at Minor Injuries"

About: Western General Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter dropped a plate on her big toe on Christmas Eve. Her toe nail was a horrible colour and she was in pain. We set off for the Western with books and snacks because I expected to be there for hours.

There was no queue at all in Minor Injuries. A cheery nurse/ practitioner swiftly pierced the nail and relieved the pressure. Daughter was sent for an x-ray - about a 10 minute wait - then sent back to Minor injuries - 2 minute wait. We were on our way in about half an hour - pain pretty much gone and with advice about avoiding infection. Brilliant

Dear Jahn

Thank you very much for taking the time to post this positive feedback on Patient Opinion. I have brought your post to the attention of the Chief Nurse for the Minor Injuries Unit and he will pass this on to the staff there.

I hope your daughter was still able to have an enjoyable Christmas.
