"Lack of home care for post-op Parkinson's patient"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Trauma and Orthopaedics Suffolk County Council

(as a friend),

80 year old neighbour Parkinson's patient, total hip replacement before Xmas - lost most of his cognitive function and sent home into the care of his 91 year old wife.

Carers in the morning - no help with physio or toileting. Sitting in a chair hallucinating and getting pressure ulcers on his sacrum.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We are concerned to hear this and would be grateful if you would send some details to feedback@nnuh.nhs.uk so that we can look into this.

Thank you, I have. And this is in no way criticism of the Trust! More the wider system and disjoint between the acute and social services. I have been in touch with his GP and he is being admitted to a cottage hosp in Newmarket
