"Poor treatment"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

First appointment with neurology in July, only half of my symptoms acknowledged by consultant, was given blood tests and told I would be started on a course of medication for pain and referred for further tests. Consultant said he would write to gp with a list of medication to try me on this was early July by the end of August still no letter from consultant telephoned secartary everyday for a week before I spoke to somebody and my notes had not yet been typed up obviously commencing medication for pain relief is not deemed urgent. Follow up appointment with neuro in December after waiting 1 and 1/2 hours I was rushed in again not listened to in any form told one of my blood test results from July had come back low and I needed to start treatment for this, consultant wrote on scrap of paper commence b12 injections levels low and told me to hand this to my gp so not only is it shocking that they left it so long to write to gp, but to not act on results of blood tests and to get the patient to pass notes on scrap of paper. Really hope I never need to go back to this consultant again.
