I'm commenting more on the process of referral to your clinic. I've had previous back surgery and had a set back in April 14. Go to GP, referred for MRI 6-8 week wait, get referred to orthopaedic team 8-12 week wait. Eventually get to See the orthopaedic team in Nov 14 and get told a referral to pain clinic is needed, and will hopefully get a appt through in Jan 15 for possible pain relieving injection. Finally a possible end/reduction to my pain! Gets to beginning of jan n thought I'd call outpatients dept to see about an appt, after waiting 68 mins in a queue, I get through only to be told that an apt to see pain clinic could be 13 weeks after referral to them, that takes it till end of March 15. Then there will be a wait again for any treatment needed which could b a further 8-10 weeks. So overall from GP referral to any treatment being organised is going to take over a year! Sorry but this is unbelievable, I'm suffering in pain, alot of pain n all I'm doing is waiting, waiting, waiting!
