"Hysterechtomy Post op care"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Directly after my hysterectomy I returned to hospital another three times due to poorly inserted catheter, a fall, infection from the operation and finally the antibiotics not agreeing with me. It was quite traumatic. And after all this time (6 months now) I am still having issues. I have returned to my GP as I am in pain and still having monthly bleeds. However, while the GP is certain I need to be seen by Gynaecology I have to wait until mid February! I am in pain and extremely worried about the gravity of my situation. I'm both physically and mentally exhausted. Do I really need to wait that long?!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience with us at Medway and I am so sorry that you are still unwell. Can I ask that you contact me so that I can review your care and discuss your circumstances with the consultant who has been caring for you.
