"Total Knee Replacement"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I had a LTKR in July 2013 in Great Tey ward. The staff were fantastic form start to finish and you couldn't fault them. I am now waiting to undergo a RTKR. I too have been on the waiting list for months after being told in July 14 that it would be a wait of 10-12 weeks. In the meantime, because I am a non driver, worked out of town and an unable to travel at peak times on public transport, I have now lost my job. My pre-op is now booked for next week. It's such a shame the hospital has had such bad publicity. It's not the front line staff that let it down.

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Also, could you email me, using the reference “+ve Comment on Orthopaedics at 08/01/2015 17:42:28”, please so we can pass on your good wishes? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
