About: Southampton General Hospital

I was driven to the hospital by a Paramedic, an extremely competent lady. Apart for a few delays the treatment I received was of the highest quality. The staff were all caring, cheerful and inspired utmost confidence in their professional ability, accredit to the NHS. Fortunate it was not a heart attack. It turned out to be pleurisy, very painful but not life threatening. I was allowed to leave after about five hours having been given a seven day packet of Co-amoxiclav, which I have almost finished.. I now feel fully recovered and wish to express my sincere thanks to all those involved in my treatment.

Thank you for the kind comments you have made about the staff and the quality of care you received when you visited the hospital. It is good to know that the antibiotics have cleared the pleurisy and that you are feeling fully recovered. Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your positive experience.
