"Fantastic nursing staff on SM10 at St Mary's"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Manchester)

(as the patient),

I have just had a stay on SM10 ward and saw Raffia's comment about unfriendly catering staff.

I have to say that whilst I experienced a really lovely helpful Irish lady who served my breakfast each morning, I also had the misfortune to encounter on a daily basis a thoroughly rude lady (Sodexho worker) who offended me and other patients every time she entered the ward with her rudeness and vile attitude.

Even though this happened my reason for wanting to post on here is not to spend time focussing on one negative, ignorant individual but instead to thank Emma (nurse on SM10), & all the other SM10 nurses (Katie, Jennifer etc ) for being so fantastic.

They were so caring and professional that I have actually just sent them some flowers to show my appreciation.

I was very anxious about my operation becasue I have agoraphobia and therefore being in hospital was always going to be difficult for me. The nurses however were so caring and professional and made me feel at ease. Myself and another patient on the ward just wanted to take the time to say thank you, and for being so understanding of my particular circumstances.

Don't let the comments about the catering staff reflect badly on the nurses!
