"Helpful honest consultant - after a wait"

I had a routine outpatient’s appointment after a referral from my GP. The online process to get the appointment was easy and straightforward with the wait period [roughly one month] bearable.

When I got to Princess Royal, my local NHS hospital, parking was rather awkward potentially putting me on edge as I had to drive round the parking lot a couple of times to find a free space.

Fortunately, the hospital staff were extremely courteous making things clear and helping me to relax. The sad part was a one hour delay to see the consultant. This was apparently due to double booking of appointments which did not help things for all of us as we all had other things to do and in some cases appointments elsewhere.

The consultant was honest and knowledgeable taking time to explain everything about my case. This did make the wait worth it.
