About: Sevenoaks Hospital

My son was poorly on New Year's Day and when I rang 111 the message said that they were only dealing with urgent enquiries and that I should go back to the GP! Obviously hopeless as GP closed on a bank holiday. So in desperation I went to Sevenoaks Hospital Minor Injuries Unit - the service there is wonderful - the receptionist was really friendly, we didn't have to wait and were seen by a lovely nurse in child friendly room. The facilities are really good. They were able to sort out my son and prescribe the penicillin needed for severe tonsillitis. I don't know what we would have done if they hadn't been open as I couldn't get through on 111 which is the only option on bank holidays to see an out of hours GP.
