"Waiting"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I saw a consultant in the gynaecology clinic a month ago, who said they were referring me for an ultrasound. However a month later and no news as to when the ultrasound will be and no one will answer the phone. This hospital is by far the worst of any I have ever been to but I suspect part of the problem lies in the frequently cited lack of funds in Leicestershire. Nevertheless I am left sorely wishing I had never moved here and could still be seen at the Oxford hospital.

Dear reviewer, We're really sorry that you havent been able to get through to anyone to discuss your requested scan. As you are most probably aware, there is a huge amount of pressures on hospitals at the moment, not just in Leicester but also nationally. This pressure on Emergency and Urgent Care does of course have a knock on effect to other services and for this we are very sorry. We have passed the issue of the telephone not being answered onto the Service Manager to investigate. In the meantime, please contact Gynae Admin Manager, Debbie Keeber on 0116 258 7560 or email debra.keeber@uhl-tr.nhs.uk who will look into the the requested scan for you. Best wishes Laura Mort Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
