I phoned the unit and the male nurse who answered (night shift in early January) was softly spoken, kind and caring. I have never come across that before. It was truly magical.
Most people (even those who are qualified) don't seem to have any semblance of understanding of the loneliness that comes so often in mental illness. This nurse even knew my name without me telling them. I only wish I had asked his name because he deserves some sort of formal commendation. He will be my prayers for always.
"Deserves formal commendation"
