The best thing about my visit to the D Ward Orthopaedic fracture clinic was that I was admitted straight away from A&E and once from my surgery. But the waiting time could have been better and help could have been there to carry my bags from A&E to the ward.
A number of patients were not operated on when they had been told they would be going to theatre that day. This happened to my son the week before. After 19 hours without food I was upset to be told my operation for my bicep injury was off, due to operating time run out. I was sent home till the week after.
I would like to thank Dr Ketzer (he admitted me and operated straight away, the same afternoon).
